This online course is presented by Ron C. Osborne-Williams who has been working in the Domestic Violence field at Women in Distress for over 7 years. Ron has a Master’s Degree in Education (Inclusive School Practices) and Master’s Degree in Family Therapy (MFT). He is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern, a Pennsylvania Instructional Teaching Certificate N-12 Special Education and a State of Florida Professional Teaching Certificate: Exceptional Student Education (K-12). He is in current pursuit of a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy. Ron utilizes a client-centered and strength-based approach to coaching/counseling (play therapy, group, individual, couples, and family) and training consultation, on a plethora of issues including the experiences of students in diverse settings with disabilities and special needs; the experiences of people of color in therapy; the experiences of domestic violence; youth sexual offender/sexual behavior specific treatments; and the engagement of men and fathers in therapy. Additionally he served three years as a Peace Corps Volunteer for St. Lucia’s Ministry of Education in the West Indies.
